  1. Dear Elizabeth

I am an artist and I normally working in glass, but I have a piece that I would like to have woven from a drawing that I made. It is a very graphic black and white drawing which is basically a repetition of the eight by eight block of symbols that you can see in the sketch that I have attached. I would need the fabric for my stand at the British Craft Pavilion in September and the weaver would be credited for the work.

I have been making enquiries and found you through the Suffolk Craft Society. Forgive me if this isn’t something that you would normally undertake. But I would be grateful if you could get back to me anyway.

    Kind regards

    Cathryn

  2. With Lindsey Marshall’s help and support my first international touring project: Elements: earth, air, fire, water is nearing completion. 30 artists from the USA, Australia and United Kingdom brought together their small format hand woven tapestries in this international touring exhibition. We’ve already had 2 exhibitions in Australia [one at ATW in Melbourne], and our second UK exhibition is about to take place at the Guildhall in Much Wenlock, Shropshire from August 31st to September 24th. Our final exhibition at the North Georgia University in the USA takes place early next year.
I’m beginning to plan the next international tapestry project between English and Canadian weavers. Lindsey Marshall and I are at the early planning stage. I have already emailed you at a btinternet address but haven’t had a reply and wondered if it wasn’t in use? If you’re interested and would like a copy of the Brief please let me know.
